Maybe it’s because we’re rooted at the Eastern gates of the Rocky Mountains, but around here warmwater fishing takes a backseat to coldwater fishing. Trout are the top dog, and in our estimation, much of the West is the same way. Often, warmwater stretches of river are just completely overlooked. But stretches of warmwater rivers provide surprising ecological importance for coldwater species.
